In a thrilling announcement for Eurovision enthusiasts, Radio i Televizija Crne Gore (RTCG) has confirmed that Montenegro will return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025. This will mark the country’s 13th participation in the iconic music competition since its debut at Eurovision 2007 in Helsinki.

In preparation for Eurovision 2025, RTCG has unveiled plans for a new national selection process, named Montesong. This national final is designed to encourage a wide range of Montenegrin performers to participate, aiming to promote new musical talents and reconnect with the broader European audience. The selection process will offer a platform for emerging artists to present their work and represent Montenegro on an international stage.
Vladana Vucinic, Creative Director of RTCG, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming participation, stating, “Eurovision 2025 presents a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase Montenegro’s rich cultural diversity on the European stage. We are excited to introduce Montesong, which will help us discover new talent and strengthen our connection with Eurovision fans across Europe.”
